Salsa Ranchera (5 ingredients)

1 griddle or comal
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 jalapeno stem removed
- 1/2 onion peeled
- 3 clove garlic peeled
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
Heat a comal or griddle over medium-high heat
Place the tomato, onion, garlic, and jalapeno on the comal.

Heat the vegetables. Turning occasionally until the skin is blistered. You will likely have to remove the garlic cloves earlier than the other vegetables.
Place the vegetables in the blender with the salt. Blend on high until smooth. Taste and adjust salt as needed.
