Salsa Ranchera (5 ingredients)

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 griddle or comal

Ingredients

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 jalapeno stem removed
  • 1/2 onion peeled
  • 3 clove garlic peeled
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste

Instructions

  • Heat a comal or griddle over medium-high heat
  • Place the tomato, onion, garlic, and jalapeno on the comal.
    4 tomatoes, 1/2 onion, 3 clove garlic, 1 jalapeno
  • Heat the vegetables. Turning occasionally until the skin is blistered. You will likely have to remove the garlic cloves earlier than the other vegetables.
  • Place the vegetables in the blender with the salt. Blend on high until smooth. Taste and adjust salt as needed.
